The Practice of Breathing
Breathing. We do it unknowingly, without thinking, so why am I writing about it? Because intentional breathing and breathing exercises can change your whole mindset. It's more about meditation and controlling your breathing when you're going into a panic attack, anxiety attack, or other rapid breathing mindset. If you can control your breathing, it can help cut the time down in half, or just get you through it. So here's some recommendations.
Insight Timer - meditation app that does guided meditation and breathing exercises
Calm- Same idea, only with a subscription service required
The Daily Meditation Podcast- Free service with guided meditations for short time frames. Especially good if you're getting into it as a beginner.
It's all about being able to control your breathing, it's a helpful technique that has slowed down several of my own panic attacks and been able to get me on a better track. I'd recommend looking into any one of these resources if you're looking to gain a new perspective or a new skill. Meditation is perfect for rejuvenating at the end of the day. There are a plethora of other options out there, these are three I use frequently and enjoy. Find what works for you and enjoy your life.
Love,
